It was always a dream for Marina and Michael to elope somewhere exotic, like on a beach somewhere remote, just the two of them. Their initial plan did change a bit, the location was not at the beach, instead, their 'I do's' happened in the heart of Namibia's bush, set in the beautiful northern landscapes of Onguma Wildlife Resort. It could not have been more spectacular! It was a hot day! But lucky for us we were graced with a vibrant blue sky and little white clouds. Marina put all her heart into the planning and the results, as you will see, were absolutely beautiful. It happened - the elopement they have always dreamt of turned into the perfect fairy-tale wedding!
Not only their 'I do's' were extraordinary, but so is their love story! They both originate from Austria. When they were much younger they were in a relationship for a couple of months. And as it happened, it did not quite work out. Fast forward a few years. Marina moved to Germany in the meantime to pursue her career and they lost contact with each other during all that time. Until Marina was about to move back to Austria and found Michael on Facebook. She messaged him and asked if he would like to have a coffee when she is back, and his reply was: "Sure, but for that coffee you would need to come to Namibia! I moved here!' So, with a leap of faith, she packed her little suitcase and visited Michael in Namibia. And they never looked back! 7 years later, they call Namibia their home, living on a beautiful farm, and finally eloped on 21 November 2020.
I am extremely fortunate to have spent the time with them and create the most stunning photos of their big day! Not only was I the photographer, but I also was honoured to be the witness and approve their love by signing the wedding certificate!
